Obama feels that a government healthcare system will solve all our problems

March 25th, 2009 Comment On This Post

barack20obama20capitol1President Obama’s main focus last night was to shove down our throats about how a government-run healthcare system will solve all of our country’s problems.  Not even all the evidence  in the world that shows government-run healthcare is a mess is going to dissuade people who think that there is something out there called “free health care.”

The only thing government cares about is control, not your health.  When are people going to get it through their small pea brains that government doesn’t actually care about it’s people?  If government really cared, don’t you think they would have read the stimulus package and found that little bonus deal in there for AIG?

Also in response to last nights address, the president of the European Union, Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek, slammed President Barack Obama’s plans to have the U.S. spend its way out of recession as “a road to hell.”

Topolanek told the European Parliament on Wednesday that Obama’s massive stimulus package and banking bailout “will undermine the liquidity of the global financial market.”

But there is some good news from Washington.  Democrats in the House have decided that they will not include controversial global warming initiatives in Barack Obama’s budget. You may remember that by including it in the budget, reconciliation would ensure that Senate Democrats could pass the budget (and therefore global warming legislation) with a simple majority vote.  I betch Nancy Pelosi has her panties in a wad about his one.  Her fellow Democratic goons won’t let her have her precious global warming initiatives in the budget bill. Special budget procedures WILL however be used to remake the healthcare system.  At least we are starting to get some common sense on this global warming scam.

I don’t know how healthcare could fix the economy when that will require major spending, but I do have one thing that does not require spending and it will get rid of income tax and the IRS.  What do you think about that?

Have you ever heard of the Fair Tax?

What is the FairTax plan?

The FairTax plan is a comprehensive proposal that replaces all federal income and payroll based taxes with an integrated approach including a progressive national retail sales tax, a prebate to ensure no American pays federal taxes on spending up to the poverty level, dollar-for-dollar federal revenue neutrality, and, through companion legislation, the repeal of the 16th Amendment.

The FairTax Act (HR 25, S 296) is nonpartisan legislation. It abolishes all federal personal and corporate income taxes, gift, estate, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security, Medicare, and self-employment taxes and replaces them with one simple, visible, federal retail sales tax  administered primarily by existing state sales tax authorities.

The FairTax taxes us only on what we choose to spend on new goods or services, not on what we earn. The FairTax is a fair, efficient, transparent, and intelligent solution to the frustration and inequity of our current tax system.

The FairTax:

  • Enables workers to keep their entire paychecks
  • Enables retirees to keep their entire pensions
  • Refunds in advance the tax on purchases of basic necessities
  • Allows American products to compete fairly
  • Brings transparency and accountability to tax policy
  • Ensures Social Security and Medicare funding
  • Closes all loopholes and brings fairness to taxation
  • Abolishes the IRS

Wal-Mart awards $2 billion to hourly employees

March 20th, 2009 3 Comments »

walmartWill this story about Wal-Mart awarding $2 billion to its hourly employees be covered like AIG’s bonus giveaway? Probably not. And do you know why? Because that money went to hourly employees. And to wealth-envy Americans, these are the people that really deserve the bonuses. Not the people who manage those employees, or manage the payroll .. those people are evil because they have suceeded in life. But the people who make sure that the video game aisle and the movie section is clear for the walking zombies in this country.  You know, the ones that have like 6 kids and bitch because they can’t afford the little bastards.

Liberals just love to demonize Wal-Mart because it is a non-union employer.  When this card check bill gets passed, expect Wal-Mart to be the first company to be attacked by the unions.  Some rating agencies have already reduced the rating they give Wal-Mart on the expectation that Wall-Mart will be hurt badly by the Unionization by Intimidation bill. I’m sure Democrats are just steaming knowing that  Wal-Mart is awarding roughly $2 billion to hourly employees, which includes $933.6 million in bonuses, $788.8 million in profit sharing and 401(k) contributions, millions of dollars in merchandise discounts, and contributions to its employee stock purchase plan.  I don’t think Wal-Mart, the Evil Empire, got the memo that the Democrats want to make their employees more reliant on government.

And speaking of bonuses.  The house yesterday passed a bill to tax 90% of those AIG bonuses. Did you know that type of act is unconstitutional?

Article 1, Section 9, Clause 5 - United States Constitution

“No bill of Attainder or ex post facto law shall be passed.”

Do you know what the word “attainder” means?  It’s a 15th century word meaning “extinction of the civil rights and capacities of a person upon sentence of death or outlawry usually after a conviction of treason.”  The definition of “bill of attainder”:  “A bill of attainder may be defined to be an Act of Parliament for putting a man to death or for otherwise punishing him without trial in the usual form. Thus by a legislative act a man is put in the same position as if he had been convicted after a regular trial.”

Well, in this case the Congress isn’t trying to put anyone to death … they’re just trying to steal some money, as usual.  They are trying to deprive some individuals of property that is rightfully and lawfully theirs without accusing them of a crime and without the benefit of any trial … except, that is, for this trial that has been taking place in the media for the last week.  But, oh, did Congress forget about the piece of paper sitting in The National Archives called “The Constitution”?  A man cannot be deprived of life, liberty or property without due process, and in our country due process means a trial before a jury of one’s peers. Barney Frank, Pelosi and the rest of Obama’s goons are trying to take these people’s money through legislative action without a trial.

Maybe they didn’t deserve those bonuses, but, the bonuses were paid pursuant to a legally enforceable contract. The property is theirs. Now we have politicians who are trying to take it away just because they’re unhappy and embarrassed because they didn’t take care of this little problem before the bailout money was paid.

We’re gonna find out shortly who in the Senate has read The Constitution.

Obama is disarming commercial pilots

March 18th, 2009 1 Comment »

gunsThe Washington Times is reporting that the Obama administration is ending the federal firearms program that allows pilots to carry guns if they’ve completed a federal-safety program.

After the September 11 attacks, commercial airline pilots were allowed to carry guns if they completed a federal-safety program. No longer would unarmed pilots be defenseless as remorseless hijackers seized control of aircraft and rammed them into buildings.

Now President Obama is quietly ending the federal firearms program, risking public safety on airlines in the name of an anti-gun ideology.

This past week, the administration apparently diverted $2 million from the pilot training program to hire more supervisory staff, who will engage in field inspections of pilots. Since Barack Obama was elected, the approval process for pilots to carry guns on planes “slowed significantly.” And with this move last week, the process has completely stalled.

As of right now, 12,000 pilots have been approved to carry guns.   Has a pilot gone nuts on an airplane or improperly brandished the use of a gun?  Zero cases have been reported.  So why would Obama do such a thing? It’s all about control people.  The Democrats are in charge and they want to disarm the people that they are in control of.

Stimulus Money To Mexico

Herman Cain update 3/4/2009

March 4th, 2009 Comment On This Post
President Obama and the Democrat controlled Congress passed a massive $789 billion expansion of government literally overnight, while not one member of Congress or the public had an opportunity to read the legislation, let alone provide any input. You may recall that the President campaigned on transparency.

The President also campaigned on passing legislation without pet project earmarks. He is about to sign the $410 billion Omnibus Appropriations Bill for fiscal year 2009, which contains 8600 pet projects by members of Congress. He and his staff calls that “last year’s business, let’s just move on.”

We have heard the President, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi talk of bi-partisan cooperation many times in speeches. Yet, Republican ideas or alternatives have been ignored and met with responses of “we won, we wrote the bill”.

Despite the thousands of emails and phone calls we and others have generated, they continue to pass runaway spending legislation loaded with sneak-a-taxes, new taxes and funding for new government programs, while not seriously addressing the big problems of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid spending.

An equally big problem is the soon to be “Worse Than Expected” shortfall in federal tax revenue, which puts us on a certain trajectory for an extended recession.

In the first 100 days of President Obama and the Democrat controlled Congress, it’s been business worse than usual in Washington D.C. We now have an economic crisis and a leadership crisis.

Be reminded that our IT movement is a not a “sprint”.

It’s a “marathon”.
