Israel’s right to defend itself
I love this. The house has passed legislation, H.R. 34 Recognizing Israel’s right to defend itself against attacks from Gaza, reaffirming the United States’ strong support for Israel, and supporting the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
What I love about this is that the bill was sponsored by Nancy Pelosi of all people! So you Liberals who are sympathizing with Hamas can stick it up your ass! I was actually kind of pissed about this bill at first because I felt who in the hell are we to pass a legislation like this. Israel doesn’t need us writing laws to show that we support their right to defend themselves. But, the more I think about this, this is actually a good thing. Because this is basically Obama and the Democrats telling terrorist organizations that it doesn’t matter who is in office, Republicans or Democrats, the United States is on a mission to stop terrorism and we are going to stand with our allies. I would also suggest reading the bill because it states the facts about what has been going on, not this bullshit that you here on the idiot tube.

True as that may be, that doesn’t change the definition of “attack” and “defend”. Palestinians go into Israeli territory and you call that “attack”. Israelis go into Gaza and you call that “defend”. There seems to be a degree of asymmetry to your descriptions.
I believe that language is important. Soldiers, such as Corporal Shalit are captured. Only civilians are kidnapped. 1 Israeli is being held prisoner by Palestinians, while over 10,000 Palestinians (including hundreds of juveniles) are currently held prisoner by Israel.
The root cause of all of this back & forth is the same - Israel’s brutal and illegal 40+ year occupation.

I liked this blog for a while but with narrow minded thinking and statements such as this I probably won’t be returning.
There is more purple and “grey” areas in the country than straight liberal or conservative. Getting excited because one democrat votes one way, while her perceived “teammates” think another is silly.

I love the revisionist historians like Joury, disinter, Bumbaclaat, etc. in here… have you forgot about the 7 day war? I suppose you clowns will figure out a way to blame that on Israel too. The FACT of the matter is Hamas, and organizations like them, advocate genocide. They will not stop until Israel is wiped off the face of the earth; and if it wasn’t for the U.S., that would have happened by now. My goodness, by way of comparison, if Mexico lobbed rockets into the U.S. on a regular basis and sent suicide bombers to our transportation system, public places, and schools, you’d be screaming kill em all. But Arab peoples can regularly brutalize a strip of land the size of New Jersey and somehow you people spin the defenders as the aggressors… pathetic!!!
But then again, mindsets like you are probably how Barney Frank continuously gets elected.

Chris, you don’t know what you are talking about. Check out the Balfour declaration, when the Jews, through banking, pushed Great Britain and the US into the Balfour Declaration, (check out the Elders of Zion and the Protocols in the London Archives) wherein the land which is now call Israel was stolen from the Palestinians, and given to the Jews. I am not Arab or Jewish, but I an old enough to remember the first “Act of Terrorism”, the bombing of he King David hotel, by the Jews. You have been brainwashed, just as Benjamin Freedman said you would be. Look him up if you dare. You will find the truth without 50 years of mega-money history changing (Unless you are part of the problem as well).
