Labor Day being replaced by Eid al-Fitr for Tyson Foods employees in TN
A Tyson Foods poultry processing plant in Shelbyville, TN will no longer give its workers a paid holiday on Labor Day. Instead, the workers will be given a holiday on Eid al-Fitr. This day marks the end of Ramadan, which is the Muslim holy month of fasting.
You can thank the unions for this one. The Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union secured the new 5-year contract with the plant in order to accommodate Muslim workers. Of the 1,200 people who work at the plant, nearly 700 are Muslims.
It’s only a matter of time when our government will be caving in to these demands.

Speaking of Muslims. Portland, Oregon is having a battle with Muslim women over their right to use public pools. A group of Somali women asked the Portland Parks and Recreation to accommodate them by giving them an after-hours, women-only swim time at a government pool, which would be staffed only by female lifeguards. Do you know why? Because Islam won’t allow women to appear in bathing suits in front of men who aren’t members of their immediate family.
They are proposing to rent one of the government pools after normal business hours. They would arrange to have a female lifeguard on duty and they would shield the women from being seen by the public by hanging curtains around the pool.
The Muslim women speaking on behalf of the issue says that everyone should have the right to exercise and good health. So now good health and exercise is a “right”? I can’t wait until it becomes government mandated that all the fat asses in America have to get their golf ball dimpled asses and thighs to the gym. That would stir an outrage.
But the city of Portland said no because it discriminates against male lifeguards and appears that the city is endorsing Islam. Good for Portland.
