Auto manufacturers begin brainwashing campaigns
I was listening to the radio over the weekend and couldn’t help noticing that a large amount of the ads I was hearing were automobile ads. All of these auto ads also had a common theme: you’ll save money because their cars are fuel efficient.
With gas prices hovering around $4.00 a gallon I can’t blame the marketing geniuses at these companies for going for the fuel efficiency angle. But what really irritates me is that these “fuel efficient” cars get a whopping 30 mpg.
To anyone who reads this, I beg you, don’t believe the hype. Under no circumstance is 30mpg acceptable as fuel efficient. The problem is that when gas prices were lower we were willing to look the other way. Now it’s time to open our eyes and minds and realize that auto manufacturers have become complacent with old technology and don’t want to spend money on research and development of new ways of fueling a car.
Somehow we can send the Phoenix probe to Mars but guess what? Making a car get 100mpg or run on anything other than gasoline is impossible. It just can’t be done, sorry we are just going to have to be slaves to the current technology forever.
This makes me sick. We need congressional term limits, we need the power to vote politicians out of power who care more about special interests and their own careers than the people they claim to serve. Industries need to know that they need to change with the times or they will be replaced by someone who will.
Until we are willing to stand up for ourselves we will continue to be brainwashed.

America needs a new revolution, the change being spoken of by Obama and Mc Cain is more dysfunction at a higher cost to the American public bringing America closer to a default such as the one in 1998 in RUSSIA.
Let us hope the Libertarian party will have a President in office within the next eight years. Let Liberty reign ! The libertarian party is a peoples party, a party that embraces the constitution and individual rights. Congress needs change,
the encumbants must go. We need no longer a congress the is self seeking and self serving first and secondly serving the interests of the special interests groups above you the citizen of America. It is enough to make you mad, very mad, mad enough to enjoin a new american revolution thta is real change with real purpose.

I am SO glad that I read this article, because I noticed a short time ago how MANIPULATIVE the U.S. auto manufacturers are with their insipid commercials bragging about 25 and 35 mpg on new cars. At $4.00 (or even $2.00) a gallon, 35 mpg is NOTHING! The U.S. auto industry is to blame for our fuel woes, and almost nobody seems to get it. They just blame the oil industry. I’m convinced the two are working together, they both have something to gain by that.
And isn’t it interesting that the moment gas hit $3.50 a gallon, the auto ads started giving away a $2.99/gallon guarantee for 2-3 years. Does this mean they KNEW that high gas prices were here to stay? How could they offer such a guarantee unless they knew for sure (inside information) that gas prices would continue to sky rocket??
I think Americans need to have a revolution, and protest outside ALL the major car manufacturers AND oil companies as well. They are nothing but thieves that maybe one day will have to answer to a higher source (hopefully).
