America needs a “New Revolution” to minimize government intrusion part 2
There has been an overwhelming response to my blog: America needs a “New Revolution” to minimize government intrusion. It was on the topic of Congressional term limits and The Fair Tax Act. If you haven’t read it yet, feel free too. But, I do appreciate everyone who has read and commented on it.
Here was an interesting comment that I had received:
Our goal of NO TAXES will not and cannot be reached without being done in incremental stages. Passage of the FairTax could be the first step towards that goal. Kevin is absolutely right about what needs to be done. With 72 current sponsors in congress, the FairTax already has great national awareness and acceptance. Although the main thoughts of the Libertarian party are just and admirable they are, for the most part, beyond the comprehension of the average citizen.
There are many different groups trying to get congress to listen to them. None to date have been as successful as the FairTax supporters. If all these groups including the Libertarian Party would unite to get the FairTax passed, this would be the first step in returning power to the people. Once the people get the FairTax passed, that same unified front could work on other things, such as term limits. The” It will never happen” mindset must be changed to “let’s get it done”. Any viable member of the Libertarian Party should know that it was a relatively small percentage of Americans that actually wanted to revolt against England. When members of congress feel their jobs are in jeopardy, then they listen to the people. If they think their jobs are safe they could care less. The Democrats and the Republicans unite against us, We The People. We must unite against them !
Our stance, meaning the Libertarian Party, sometimes reminds me of a little child trying to hold it’s breath till it gets what it wants. Let’s not hold our breath. Let’s scream until the FairTax is law. Then we’ll scream again and again till our Founding Fathers hear us.
This person is exactly right. Just think about what is going on in the message board. We are coming up with ideas and talking about it. We will have an easier time with the passage of both The Fair Tax Act and Term Limits because of the availability of resources to us. They didn’t have the internet then. We can spread the word so easily now. And we don’t have to worry about going to war with our own government like they did back then either. But like this person said in the comment, The “It will never happen” mindset must be changed to “let’s get it done”.
We are in a political “Civil War” which has divided this nation. And the Democratic and Republican parties are both to blame. But the question is this: Are we willing to keep falling under socialism, into the hands of communism and let government tell us what to do? Or are we willing to stand up for ourselves and say “NO! I WANT THE FREEDOM OF CHOICE!”?
I would also like to create a petition on the FairTax Act, Congressional term limits and voting power to vote elected officials out of office.
One other thing. I would really suggest reading another blog that I had wrote about. It’s about a country in Europe, Estonia, and it is an amazing story of a country that was under Russian Communist control and then turned itself into one of the greatest free market countries to have ever existed. I would like to thank you for your comments and that link about Estonia. That’s something the media will never report on. They never report on the survey that Bill Archer did when he was head of the House Ways and Means Committee.
The survey was conducted among 500 European companies. One simple question was asked, ” What would you do if the U.S. installed the FairTax.” The responses where astounding. Four hundred said they would build their next plant here. The remaining one hundred said they would move their corporate headquarters here. My guess is that this would be just the tip of the iceberg as to what would follow. Our current tax code does the exact opposite. Product labels would contain the same foreign corporate names but the labels would also contain ” MADE IN THE U.S.A.”

We need to get rid of the federal reserve (private) and have our own (governed). the money that the federal reserve makes should go to the people of USA not some group of greedy rich people.

It seems as if the rich have taken over our government . They have fixated on the meek and the week ans sold them a bill of goods that will only make them social slaves. They have done everything they can to eliminate the middle class.
Why do we not have one regular Joe in Congress or the Senate. Its all rich lawyers and business men. They are trying to break the middle class and drive us into poverty, make us dependent on them .
We need so badly to revolt get them all out and quickly or we will all suffer. People are losing their life’s daily and they want more of us to lose. They do nothing for people who do for themselves just offer social programs and demand us to pay. Soon we will be dependent on the social programs which will be financed by the lower class.

america was great but we are headed for destruction… please everone stop believing that everything will be ok . the only thing that will fix this beuricratic washington bull is a revolt i dont like the taxation on our childrens children taxes . our founding fathers would roll over in there graves if they saw what was happening and whaching everyone take it in the a##,by our government bailing out all the rich (again) and leaving us with the bill ! well you know that im not giving another ***king cent until things start to develop another way , i dont care if i go to prison ! i think the schocialist movement to comunism is around the corner and youall will have to live with it… all the while saying “what happened”

The American government has gone so far down the drain from what our forefathers who gave EVERYTHING THEY HAD to create a FREE nation had in mind. This country has been overtaken by people who want to destroy it. Right now is the worst time in history for the United States. The revolution, the French and Indian war, even the Civil war were nothing compared to the garbage we do now. We fight for no real reason at all, we give these countries weapons of MASS DESTRUCTION and tell them they cant use them. We are the most hypocritical, arrogant, country out there. We lie to everyone’s faces and we stick our guns in their mouths. I am disgusted by what our country has become. Even the people of the United States have been turned into sheep. We won’t revolt for fear of losing everything we have. WELL FOR F#$*’s SAKE! What did our forefathers do??? THEY GAVE EVERYTHING to fight people like this. Our government is trying to control us and turn us into a real flock of sheep that they can shear and shear and shear, and if we sheep try to fight back, they have a huge pack of technologically superior wolves ready to listen to their commanders and fire on civilians even though they may be family. I cannot even put into words how disgusted and sad I am. I feel like the black sheep (pun intended) when I say lets get off of our sheepish a$$es and honor our forefathers who sacrificed for us, this includes Jesus the Christ. We almost had an amazing president once, his name was John Fitzgerald Kennedy. I think this quote from him really applies to our current situation, which goes as follows; “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable.” -John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Think on that one, we all die sometime, its just when and where.

is like a rubber-stamp assembly serving a
Thugocracy (both DE FACTO!) We are becoming a “lawless” society (so to speak).
We NEED to be prepared, even for a Civil
War (#2), if it comes to that!

I hate to say it but as bad as this is, while it helps some, just talking about it and sending emails and faxes isn’t going to change what needs to be changed; this is going to require a real revolution to effect change. We have hesitated in the past because we knew a revolution would make things really bad before they got better. Well, things are already bad and are going to get a lot worse so at this point, we really don’t have anything to lose but rather we have everything to gain: Our Country!
I know the times ahead aren’t going to be fun and the safe and comfortable life we have had the luxury of living for so long is fast coming to an end. I for one am willing to put up with hard times and give up the safe easy life I have if it means saving and returning our country back into the great place it once was.
I think we will soon need to pick up our arms and fight for what others in the past have died for, our freedom. Based on the fact that gun sales are at an all time high and ammo is virtually nonexistent, I don’t think I am alone on this thought. I am willing to give up everything except my freedom, are you? The next step is selecting someone that can lead us…any ideas?
