Congress needs to shut the hell up and do something already
While Congress was busy making laws about what light bulbs we will be allowed to use, the price of oil went spiraling out of control which then sent gas prices soaring. Congress has decided to do what a lot of Americans do now and that is blame someone else for their own shit.
We have the most irresponsible idiots in Congress. They are turning this whole thing into a joke. As a matter of fact if I was hosting a radio show, I would be playing circus music in the background while talking about this subject. They blame OPEC, regulators, inspectors, investors, oil companies, and etc. They did nothing 30 years ago after the first oil crisis and still aren’t doing anything. They need to be blaming themselves.
We have got to become energy independent. They need to create a bill to enforce car manufacturers to start building more alternative fuel cars. Enforce oil companies to have pumps for alternative fuel at their gas stations. I honestly don’t care if my car has to run on horse shit.
They also need to enforce higher fuel efficiency. Why don’t they offer a reward to an automobile manufacturer for coming up with new technology in fuel efficiency for automobiles? And do people really need a 400 horsepower car?
I don’t care what anybody says, but we need to start drilling for our own oil. If we do all of these things, we will be energy independent and the cost of fuel will be low.
Here are some interesting links to read and all of them have different opinions on our energy crisis:
