Socialized Spending Out of Control

So a lot of Americans feel that we aren’t doing enough for the poor (boo hoo) and that we are spending to much on the War in Iraq. Well I have some absolutely staggering numbers for you and remember this is tax dollars coming out of your pocket from Federal, State, Local, Social Security and Medicare Tax that you pay:

In Fiscal year 2005

Social Security: 523.3 Billion Dollars

Health care (Medicare Tax and Medicaid which comes out of Federal Income Tax): 736.6 Billion Dollars

Welfare: 362.9 Billion Dollars

And this is what we spent on the military that year:

Armed Forces Spending: 495 Billion Dollars
From 2002-2005 we spent a total of 204 Billion on the Iraq war

Which comes to a staggering 1.621 TRILLION DOLLARS in social programs in one year! Thats right, $1,621,000,000,000.00 in social programs and only 495 Billion to protect our asses. The Iraq War cost 204 Billion after 3 years, not one year, but 3 years. That’s an average of 68 Billion a year.

WOW! We spent 736 Billion on health care, hell I’d hate to see that number if we had socialized health care, then again, we may have it already. And they say we aren’t spending enough on the poor people out there! Come on! This is money coming straight out of our pockets to help people that do not want to take any responsibility for anything. Then we wonder why the economy is so bad, it’s because we have to help the poor people, the so called less fortunate, whatever. I feel less fortunate because my money is being pissed away here!

Not only did we spend the 1.621 trillion dollars on social programs, but the entire Federal, State and Local Government spending for the year was 4.4 trillion, which says that we spent 37% of the budget on social welfare! If this does not scare you, then you are an ignorant idiot!

We are such fools, I just can’t believe that we are willing to pay into this, I mean what the hell is wrong with us. Can somebody please answer this question for me? Why would you be willing to pay higher taxes with your hard earned income for someone that wants to be lazy and let government handle everything for them?

Now I know that Medicare is there for retired people, but remember, we have baby boomers that will be retiring in a decade which is going to send that amount through the roof and on top of that Social Security will also be an incredible amount. I’m telling you right now, you better start making a nest egg for yourself, because only the savers are going to survive at the rate we’re going.

Greetings fellow libertarian. I liked your point about the cost of social programs versus the cost of the Iraq War. However, I don’t think you do libertarians a favor by calling poor people “dirtbags” (unless I somehow misunderstood you). In any case, we individualists have to unite to vote libertarian so we can stem the tide of the liberal hordes. Disaffected Republicans should realize that our national security is being eroded from within, by liberals in the two major parties. Iraq and Afghanistan are all fine and good for democracy and human rights, but let us prioritize and make our homefront the primary focus of our concerns. Best of luck, KNAB

your numbers are beyond fucked up. how about some sources for them? my country (i love it and want to fix it) spends way more money on securing the wealth of the wealthy than it does on giving the poor a fighting chance. For a second, please imagine being born into a family in Gary, Indiana, or Detroit, Michigan, or any of the thousands of places within the greatest country in the world in which your best bet to get out of poverty is to work at McDonald’s. Travel this country and talk to people and find out that the “social programs” that the government spends so much on helps them out. Ugh… Please, get a clue

Your country spends twice as much per person on healthcare than other industrialized nations…and yet 40 milion American citizens are uninsured.

EVERY nation in the First World has a form Universal Healthcare. You’re like a wealthy Third World No-Man’s Land. Congratulations!

You wouldn’t feel this way if you were born into poverty, in an inner city, with underfunded schools. I understand republican thinking, but how easy is it to workup from that, with everything and everyone working against you…not willing to lend a hand? You go ahead and keep your money…you selfish pig. You’re set, so fuck anyone else. Asshole.

effyou Say you are a retard. People like you always have an excusse. Who cares where you are from. You should wake up. Obama was poor and look where he is. Poor people do not create jobs. People need to to work hard and earn what they get. Hand outs do nothing but keep you down. WAKE UP.
